Water damage

Last week I was given over 300 pictures of our office ("Shadowcliff") after the July 6 flood. I've narrowed them down to 50 and posted them on my favorite photo sharing site, Flickr. You can watch the slideshow here.

Home sweet waterlogged home

If you are not on our mailaing list you may not have heard about the major disaster that befell the FOR office a few weeks ago. This article in the (Nyack) Journal News tells the story:

Mark Johnson interview

Last month FOR's executive director was at the national conference of United for Peace and Justice and sat down for a quick interview. You can watch the 10 minute video at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0iAiTg7La-M

Building online community

One of many great ways to support the Fellowship of Reconciliation is to join our network at Change.org. At change.org/FOR you can write why you support FOR, upload video and images, start and participate in discussions, donate to FOR, and invite your friends to do the same! If you use Facebook, you can now support us there directly through the Changes application.

Welcome

This web site represents a giant leap forward for the Fellowship of Reconciliation!

After more than 90 years of connecting and empowering grassroots voices for peace, FOR is now bringing these voices together online as well. As FOR's brand-new Communication Co-coordinator, I have already been impressed with my colleague's openness to try new things. In my first week, FOR started blogging, instant messaging, and using Second Life! I can only imagine what revolutions lie ahead.
